Richard Irving | Qualified Licenced Builder
Richard began his career over 15 years ago in the marine industry managing and constructing marinas all over New Zealand and overseas.
Discovering a passion for building he went on to complete his apprenticeship with a commercial company specialising in building schools, re-clad projects and interior fit outs.
After being awarded Apprentice of the Year, Richard moved onto further his skills by working on a vast range of residential building projects and now enjoys the diversity of working in both.
What sets Richard apart from others is his approachability and friendly nature. He very much enjoys what he does and prides himself on his ability to deliver quality workmanship and honest advice to all his clients.
Richard has been a firefighter in his community for 12 years and continues to serve the New Zealand Fire Service. The experience he has gained from his service has given him the skills to work well under any sort of pressure and makes him an excellent advocate of safety in the home and workplace environments.
Elena Irving | Business Manager
Elena has several years experience in the building industry and is working towards a qualification in quantity surveying and construction management.
After graduating with a Bachelors of Visual Arts from the University of Auckland, Elena went onto work in Building Control at the Manukau legacy of Auckland Council where she picked up a very useful understanding on building processes and policies used by the Council. Elena then progressed to working for a private company as a Building Compliance Consultant where she managed the Building Warrant of Fitness department, focusing on building and fire safety of commercial buildings.
Elena is drawn to the industry of construction and has a passion for the processes and management of what keeps everything ticking along.
Elena continues to maintain her practice as an artist and often spends her free time in her studio or studying elements of interior design.
